Deepti Sachdeva, who recently left Republic TV as presenter and editor, has launched her new venture – News You Don’t Get.
Speaking to e4m about her new venture, Sachdeva said: “I’ve been in the field, in the presenter’s chair for 18 years now. As we continue to change and evolve, so should the news and media.
She said her goal will be to deliver stories that directly affect viewers and broaden their horizons, help them understand what is happening not just in our backyard, but even internationally.
“I have a question for all of you. What is the ‘news you’re not getting?’ To answer that, we must first ask, ‘What news are you getting today? It is full of partisan battles, conflict and negativity. It’s as if everyone is just and only competing for your anxiety. So, I’m asking if there’s another way for us to make news? With so much going on all around us, you will wonder. How do we know what’s important and what kind of news you can ignore. My focus here is very, very specific,” she shared.
