More venture capital for start-ups thanks to Impact StartAperitivo


North German impact start-ups that pursue socially, economically or ecologically sustainable goals can apply for the first Impact StartAperitivo in Hamburg to be held in May. Applications are now being accepted for the qualifying event on April 20, 2022. Eight finalists will pitch live in front of investors and experts from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry on May 5, 2022.

Impact founders meet with investors

The Impact StartAperitivo is an initiative of the investor network of IFB Innovationsstarter GmbH, Planet A Ventures, the Startup Unit of Hamburg Invest and the Chamber of Commerce. The event should establish direct contact between founders and investors as well as company representatives and offer start-ups even more funding opportunities. The “Best Pitch Award” will be presented on May 5, 2022. On the program, several live pitches and interviews with experts. Founders such as Fridtjof Detzner, co-founder of Planet A Ventures and Jimdo, Varena Junge, climate activist, co-founder of Yook, and Wilfried Gillrath, investor and former CEO of Lichtblick, will provide insight into sustainability, social impact and collaborations with start-UPS.

Qualification test

The Impact StartAperitivo is open to start-ups in the fields of green technology, circular economy, sustainability, social impact and education. The companies are classified as impact start-ups based on the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which were established in 2015 as part of the “Agenda 2030”. Founders can submit a two-minute elevator pitch for the April 20, 2022 qualifying event. Interested visitors can now purchase tickets to the final at the Chamber of Commerce.
