Toyota PH launches ‘new mobility solutions’ company


MANILA: Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) has officially launched Toyota Mobility Solutions Philippines, Inc. (TMSPH), a subsidiary that will offer mobility-related services.

    Among the first services to be offered are Fleet Connected Service, On-Demand Shuttle Booking App, Car Sharing or Rental, Logistics Matching Service and Fleet Management Service.

  • TMSPH will offer “new mobility solutions” to individuals and businesses, guaranteeing comfort and safety. Fleet-connected service, on-demand shuttle booking app, car-sharing or rental, logistics matchmaking service and fleet management service will be among the first services offered. TMSPH will also collaborate with Toyota Financial Services Philippines Corporation (TFSPH) to manage Kinto, the company’s operating rental product.

    TMP Chairman Atsuhiro Okamoto is confident that TMSPH will “better shape the role of industry in building our modern societies and enriching human lives.” “We will accelerate Toyota’s global mission of ‘Producing Happiness for All’ and its vision of creating ‘Mobility for All’,” he added.

    TMSPH will be led by Managing Director Ma. Cristina Fe Arévalo. According to her, TMP’s “new mobility” concept will help address concerns about moving people and goods through technology and data-driven lifestyle and business solutions. “We envision TMSPH being at the center of the ‘new mobility’ ecosystem as an integrated ‘one-stop-shop’ mobility solutions provider to help drive businesses forward and meet the needs of local communities,” said Arevalo.

    She also pointed out that TMSPH will support micro, small and medium enterprises that contribute significantly to economic growth.

    TMSPH is seen as a “new mobility dojo” that is expected to upgrade national mobility systems while providing job opportunities for technical and customer-centric professionals. At launch, TMSPH employed 30 people.

    As the automotive industry continues to recover from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, TMP assures that automotive production will remain its core business and continue to drive economic development.

    “Our vision has always been to contribute to the Philippine economy and society through our automotive manufacturing business. At the end of last year, Toyota is pleased to provide employment for approximately 63,000 Filipinos at TMP, our dealers, suppliers and affiliates. We have also contributed $17.1 billion in automotive component exports to our Toyota Group worldwide since we started our export business in 1997,” said TMP Chairman Alfred Ty. .

    TMP manufactures two models, the Innova and the Vios, at its production facility in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
